Transportation:

Arrival/Departure: Transportation to and from the airport is the guest’s responsibility. We recommend checking Turo.com as many of our guests have had very good things to say about Turo and it seems to be a great alternative to the National Car Rental Companies.

Waipio Gardens is located in the heart of Waipio Valley and is only accessible by our 4WD shuttles. Guests will arrive at Waipio Gardens hosts, Sukumar and Kristi Sur’s home address located at 47-4535 Honokaa-Waipio Rd., Honokaa Hawaii 96727, (a 5-minute drive to the Waipio Lookout.) They will guide you to their designated guest parking area where luggage and groceries will be transferred from your rental vehicles to the shuttle vehicle(s) and you will be shuttled into Waipio Valley to Waipio Gardens.

A mandatory shuttle fee of $200.00 includes a round-trip shuttle down to the property on your check-in day and a shuttle out of the Valley on your departure day. Our main Valley shuttle vehicle seats 8 guests. If all 8 seats are filled with passengers an additional Valley shuttle vehicle will be used to shuttle groceries and luggage and a $200 shuttle fee will be charged. If there are 4 or fewer guests one shuttle will suffice.

Guest pay per shuttle, not per person—an additional shuttle fee of $200.00 applies for each additional round-trip shuttle needed. If you are planning a day trip out of the Valley, please schedule your dates with Kristi and Sukumar ahead of time to ensure shuttle availability. 1-4 persons (1 Shuttle): $200.00 (Normally a second shuttle won’t be needed but if the luggage and groceries will not fit into the main shuttle a second shuttle and driver will cost $200.)
5-12 persons (2 Shuttles will be needed): ($200 per shuttle x 2 vehicles =$400.00 (The first shuttle will be for 8 passengers, and the second shuttle will shuttle 4 passengers with the groceries and luggage.)
13-20 persons (4 shuttles will be needed): $800 for 4 shuttles Please Note: There will be a 1-hour wait time for these guests until the shuttle vehicles return.

Additional driver services are available during your stay for the same additional fees as above but must be scheduled in advance. We do not drive into the Valley after 6:30 pm. Any guest(s) wishing to be shuttled into the Valley after dark will incur an additional $100 fee.
